Diablo 3 Wizard Guide

In Diablo 3 you are going to find many improvements and differences from the previous versions and although you are already aware of many of the characters in these types of mythical hack and slash RPG games, you should be prepared for a surprise or two when you play Diablo 3.

The wizard is somewhat a derogatory term in Diablo 3, and is also a character class which is primarily a female of massive power and the core mid ranged magic wielder. This is not the dark magic of the demon hunter, but more the sort of time, space and conjuring magic that most other mages and sorcerers would not touch with a ten foot wizard staff.

Diablo 3 Wizard GuideThe wizards are child prodigies who are very powerful and they deal with magic that most mages and sorcerers would not touch. They are looked down upon in the magical world for handling such magic’s, as most feel that handling magic should be done with more discipline and respect for the age old teachings. The wizard has had to rise above this to fully embrace their magical skill and harness it to its full potential. A wizard can control the weather, control time and space. They can also conjure, which is the ability to create something from nothing. Conjuring is far more powerful than summoning, as summoning is just the act of pulling one thing from another place.

The wizard can cast a slow time bubble, so that anything besides the wizard entering the bubble will be slowed down, so that the wizard can fire projectiles at the enemies as they slowly try to catch her. The disintegrate ray involves shooting large red rays from the wizards eyes. This beam will destroy anything it touches, leaving just ashes. The wizard can conjure a protective field, made by conjuring diamonds and having them encircle the wizard. The wizard can also hurl lightening at enemies, and this will chain between multiple enemies so that it injures many with one shot.

The wizard is not the most agile and has weak armor and is weak in general, so if she loses control of a fight and gets toe to toe with the enemy, then she is going down fast. This is why so much of her magic revolves around staying in control of a fight, and why most enemies will not even get close to her.

The wizard is fueled by arcane power, which powers all of her attacks. He defensive moves however are not powered this way, so she can always use them in a tight spot. Her defensive moves can be used without the need for any sort of fuelling, so even if she has given all she has got and they bad guys are still coming, she will still have a few tricks up her sleeve.

In short, the wizard is a great character to use if you like to keep control of a fight, to line up your sheep and slaughter them in a row. The wizard is not for if you like to get your hands dirty, or for if you want to fight from a mile away. She is all about affecting the enemy and then dispatching them quickly and painfully.
